160 miles north of the Nicaraguan capital of Managua, near the Honduran border, sits the lush forests of the San Fernando mountains of the Nueva Segovia región.  Here among the native monkeys and pine trees, Jose Rene Paguaga first realized his dream coffee farm. Today, three generations of the Paguaga family have rebuilt Los Congos after fleeing civil war. Together they continue to produce exceptional prize-winning coffees like this pacamara.  Pacamara is a hybrid of two naturally occurring varieties, Pacas and the oversized sized Maragogype, both of which contribute to the unique and prized Pacamara cup quality. Flavors of sweet apple strudel and cocoa nibs dominate this rich and complex coffee.
