About the Job:
We are hiring a full-time Line Cook to join the kitchen team at our new cafe at 181 Fremont! We are looking for someone with professional restaurant experience in addition to a passion for creating memorable experiences in a high volume environment. Full and open availability is required as we are gearing up for the grand opening. Job Description and Goals:
-You arrive on time and are ready to work at the start of your shift.
-You are responsible for prepping all the food you cook during service; an exciting opportunity to
learn new recipes and grow with the department.
-Daily tasks are completed based on the lists given to you by your manager.
-Customers receive delicious pastries and prepared foods.
-When challenges arise, you resolve them with the help of your manager.
-Ownership over your station; communicate ordering needs to Kitchen Manager, maintain mise en
place, FIFO, ensuring all mise is of quality and up to Andytown standards.
-In the first phases of opening the kitchen, we will not have a porter; each cook will be
responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish pit.
-You are responsible for setting up, organizing and cleaning your station throughout service and
before going home.
-Experience in a full-service restaurant is strongly preferred
-At least 1-year professional kitchen experience
-Proficient knife skills and understanding of how to follow a recipe
-Ability to multi-task and complete assigned projects in a timely manner
-Great attitude, team player, willingness to support the pastry assistant and kitchen manager as
-You are eager to learn and grow
-Positive communication skills and ability to adapt challenges as they arise
-Completion of ServSafe Certified within 30-days of hire
-Ability to do repetitive work including bending, crouching, twisting, chopping, rolling dough, and
-Provide your own knife, service tools, and sharpie every day.
This position will evolve as the needs of your department changes. You will sometimes be asked
to complete tasks or projects that aren’t on the above list. Please always communicate to your supervisor if a particular task or project becomes a part of your daily responsibilities.
