This coffee is brought to us by 1500 small coffee producers he works with in the Gerbicho Rogicha Association in the Guji Zone of Ethiopia. Bordered alongside the coffee growing regions of Sidamo and Yirgacheffe, the Guji Zone is named after a tribe of the Oromo people and produces a wide variety of coffees with fruity, floral, and syrupy flavor profiles.

Lead by Grima Edema of the Guji Coffee Export PLC, the Gerbicho Rogicha Association focuses on the selection of only ripe cherries that are meticulously dried and milled. These farmers cultivate coffee in 5 acre plots, and they deliver ripe cherries to the mill where it is carefully sorted and placed on raised drying beds in thin layers for 18 to 21 days. Their hard work results in a coffee that shines with flavors of Albion strawberry, peach gummy candy, and orange blossom, making it our go-to for an afternoon refresher and Sunday brunch. We think it pairs best with a jam pocket muffin.
