The village of Machete’s unique geography makes it one of the best places to grow coffee in the La Coipa district of Peru. Farms from this region are situated between 1700 and 1900 MASL and are mainly growing Caturra, Pache, and Bourbon varieties. Improved farmer training programs have helped this region increase the quality of their coffees in recent years, and the results are clear in the cup. Dominated by flavors of blackcurrants, walnut, and demerara sugar, this complex yet easy-to-drink coffee has quickly become a favorite on our cupping table.
