We are accepting applications for the role of Wholesale Trainer! This role is an extension of both the QC and Wholesale Departments. This role will act as the liaison between the production and sales team in order to ensure that wholesale accounts are accurately representing the Andytown experience and quality. The Trainer will be responsible for training new wholesale baristas, office managers, restaurant servers, business owners, and whoever else might be in charge of serving coffee at wholesale accounts. They will also engage in QC research and developing and refining training curriculum for our clients.
Applicants must be able to think on their feet, have a willingness to learn new techniques and equipment on their own, and have the hospitality skills needed to teach people of varying skill levels, while providing the friendly and empathic quality customer experience upheld at every Andytown location.
Job Description and Goals:
Train new wholesale accounts on essential coffee making skills and assess their skill level; work alongside the Wholesale Manager and QC Director to ensure that new wholesale accounts are making drinks up to standard
Onboard new wholesale accounts by informing new and existing accounts on recommended equipment that is best practice, familiarize yourself with equipment to be able to troubleshoot basic issues on the job
Under the guidance of the QC Director & Cafe Trainer, create new training procedures, documents, and other educational opportunities based on the general needs of our wholesale accounts
Routinely evaluate the effectiveness of training procedures and modify curriculum when necessary
Serve as the go-to person for various events, including off-site tasting events with the Wholesale Department, educational events in collaboration with different organizations and businesses, and working pop-up events with the Events Department
Be completely up to date and knowledgeable of our coffee menu by cupping a minimum of once a week at the Roastery with the Director of Quality Control and Production team
Assist the Director of Quality Control & Cafe Trainer in R&D projects—this includes, but is not limited to, cuppings, R&D new coffees as espresso and pour over preparations
Schedule check-ins with Technician to understand what equipment will be used and installed for accounts
The schedule will be filled by Wholesale Manager and Retail Manager on an as-needed basis for new wholesale account training, QC check-ins and existing wholesale account staff maintenance trainings, and bar shifts
QC coffee at wholesale accounts and synthesize report log from each visit to be shared with the Wholesale Manager and QC Director
Keep up to date with bay area coffee events and inspire other baristas to become involved
The schedule will include dedicated days to wholesale training, wholesale QC checkings, cupping, bar shifts and events as necessary

Complete harassment prevention training within 90-days of hire
Complete Serve safe Certification within 30-days of hire
Must have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record
This position will evolve as the needs of your department changes. You will sometimes be asked
