Bakers Against Racism

EDIT: Thank you! Together, we raised $900 for Sunset Youth Services.

Our community was so supportive of our last Bakers Against Racism bake sale, we are doing it again—this time donating 100% of sales to Sunset Youth Services. All orders will be picked up on Saturday, 10/10. Choose your pick up time when you complete your order.

Bakers Against Racism is a call to action: to fight and stand up against the unjust treatment of BLACK people in the United States. We are armed to fight racism with the tools we know how to utilize, our FOOD."

Our baking team has chosen to give all sales from this fundraiser to Sunset Youth Services, an organization dedicated to foster long-term stability and growth for high-risk youth and families through caring relationships and supportive services.

Sunset Youth Services, located on Judah and 44th Ave, serves youth from all over San Francisco and has been on the forefront of the fight to close Juvenile Hall.

Black children are overrepresented in Juvenile Hall—while they represent only 5% of San Francisco’s population, they are 59% of the juvenile hall inmates. Sunset Youth Services provides ongoing case management and barrier removal to help young people break patterns of violence and navigate the justice system. This program provides educational, and employment goals on the path to stability. The vast majority, 95%, do not reoffend while in this program.
